Houston, Texas – Legendary sports teams in The City of Houston, Texas have typically named in some way to give a nod to the friendly skies: the Rockets, the Astros to name a couple. Now, joining that fraternity is – the Houston Jets?

Yes, the Houston Jets are the newest basketball team to be scheduled for takeoff in the American Basketball League’s first season which gets under way in April.

Majority owner K-Swish Brand’s Keith Thompson was all set to be at the helm for the equally new Tennessee Huskies but has instead decided that putting the team in the Houston area would be best.
